Purple Belt

Dallas has practiced jiu jitsu for 7 years. As a Veteran Marine, he practices the philosophy of small unit leadership to create a “club“ atmosphere in the gym; believing that developing personal growth leads to building each other through Jiu Jitsu. He started the gym in 2021 as a way to make the art of Jiu Jitsu more accessible in his hometown to those that don’t have the time to travel or access to gyms in Memphis or surrounding areas.

Starting in karate at a young age, Alex has always had an interest in martial arts. He moved into boxing as a teenager and young adult and eventually found Jiu Jitsu at the age of 29 when Dallas opened Senatobia Grappling Club. Alex has been practicing Jiu Jitsu for 3 years and is dedicated to learning and spreading knowledge in the art.

You’ll need comfortable workout clothes (like a compression shirt and athletic shorts), water, and a positive attitude! If you’re attending a gi class and don’t have a gi yet, let us know—we often have loaner gis available for first-timers.

Do I need any prior experience to join your classes?

No prior experience is required. Our classes are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Our coaches provide personalized guidance to help you progress at your own pace.

Do I need to be in shape before starting BJJ?

Not at all! BJJ is for all fitness levels, and our classes are designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and endurance over time. Just show up, and we’ll guide you through the rest.

Is BJJ safe for beginners?

Yes! Safety is our top priority. Our coaches are experienced in teaching beginners with a focus on proper technique, controlled sparring, and creating a supportive environment.

How often should I train?

It depends on your goals and schedule. We are open Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and beginners typically start with 1-2 classes per week. Consistency is key, so find a routine that works for you and stick to it!

How do I sign up for a membership or schedule a class?

We recommend booking a free appointment to just meet us and get to know the gym first. Then, if you want to sign up, we will email you a waiver and payment link to start a trial of 4 weeks completely free! Just hit that "Try a Free Roll" button on this page to get started.
